Much as I enjoy listening to BBC Radio 4 Broadcasts on Poetry I often switch off completely to do my keep fit activities
as I am a retired Drama Teacher and everyone in spite of this looks to me to keep them fit, slim, in shape, and ready for the "off" at the drop of a hat so I spend more and more of my time in fitness activities and drama exercises even when on holiday ... I lend a hand with people who cannot loose weight and do a bit of a street walk to encourage movement in these poor people I bump into.
Seamus Heaney sounded just right in tonight's broadcast on BBC Radio 4 with Mark Lawson and together with a Mr O'Driscoll Seamus Heaney gave a fair and just account of his life as a writer and poet of great merit winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in the 90s.
Seamus Heaney, Mark Lawson mentioned, suffered a stroke 2 years ago and fortunately he has made a full a constant recovery ............. he had however to spend time in hospital and read ... thrillers ...... during this period.
Seamus Heaney's book ... Beowufl ... Mark Lawson has confirmed tonight is a best seller in the United States of America and is on the best selling lists in the USA! Congratulations Seamus Heaney!
This writer and poet is looking forward to his 70th birthday which is next year .... and Mr O'Driscoll said he is sure Seamus Heaney will live until he is 90 - he sounds like my neighbours! Great Poets Great Poetry and thanks! Mark Lawson of BBC Radio 4 ... fun and games it is and do keep working ....
