But 7 years is a long absence and it was precisely that which prompted my interest yet again in the Play References Commissioned in Turkey by Dr. Mustafa Melek CEO Beykent University Istanbul in 2000-1 when we were /hot/on that score and found our way to write down 5 acts and then forget it.
However, not so, it came up for much praise and attention in the following 7 years and lawyers began to get stuck in there and advised sending the Play References off to TV Companies .. it dutifully got all the praise heaped upon it and was seen as a good project for education.
Again entrepreneurs got involved and I got invited to submit to British Film Lottery Funding and got a clear definition of success in red tape and so on ......... and the Play References would not be funded by them ........ reason was it was bi lingual. So Turkey wouldnt fund and the UK wouldnt fund. I and my Man in Turkey were caught out and fell between two stools .. no movement is not good enough ... so I tried again and this time the Play References is off at the Private School for readings and I got funded which includes the Play at last. Praise Be! financial success at last for the Play References .. and for me .. the playwright!
