Researchers Uncover Reasons Why Women Want Sex The attractive and piquant word sex has baffled all
of us, but when the famous expert psychologist Sigmund Freud questions the reason for women to have sex, then it is indeed something to ruminate for.
The common perception of love being the reason for sex from the part of the women is wrong. The search for the definite reason or reasons of this perplexed question is on incessantly for which Cindy Meston and David Buss, both psychologist professors at the Texas University have come out with some answers. Their on-line survey of 1000 women in the last five years indicates love is not the reason for sexual intercourse. Women go for sex for other reasons such as
philanthropic, revengeful, and calming purposes. Occasional sex with men occurs, when women feel to fulfill these above-mentioned desires.
Women at home go for sex against their wish to maintain peace in the house. 84 % accept this reason, some though do it for their own sake to salvage self-confidence, the survey revealed. Women do use sex instrumentally for achieving what they want or to reach the goal, the researchers opined. These are some definite answers for women to go to bed with men, reported the Newsweek magazine in its September 28 issue. The complete survey results have been included in a book “Why Women Have Sex” released on 29 September 2009.
