Article Summary   by:sem505     Original Author: Sem505
ª

Kulihat ibu pertiwi sedang bersusah hati, air matamu berlinang mas intanmu terkenang, hutan gunung sawah lautan simpanan kekayaan, kini ibu sedang susah merintih dan berdoa  ( I saw the motherland is being grieved, tears welling your gold and diamond remembered, mountain forest wetland reserve ocean wealth, now the mother is being difficult whimpering and praying). This song was very popular in Indonesia, even serve as the national song.
Who is the creator of the song is titled Ibu Pertiwi (Motherland)? Surely the answer does not know. Do you know, if this song works of plagiarism? The act of humiliating the Indonesian nation itself. The work of plagiarism is actually accepted as NATIONAL SONG and officially taught in schools from elementary through college students.
This song (tone, rhythm, time signatures, notation, etc. except the lyrics) exactly the same song twice ecclesiastical translated into Indonesian from the works of Charles Crozart Converse (1868), U.S. composer (1832-1918). Lyrics titled 'What a Friend We have in Jesus', the work of Joseph Medlicott Scriven (1855).
Indonesian translation, was first performed by C.Ch.J. Schreuder and L.J.M. Tupamahu (the early 1900s?) And included in the Song of  Dua Sahabat Lama (Two Friends of the Old) in the No. 201. Then translated again by the Church Music Foundation in 1975, and became the song of the church in Indonesia in the book of Kidung Jemaat (Song of the Church) in the No. 453.
Who is the creator (plagiarist) song that later became Indonesia's national song is this? Abdullah Kamsidi (http://komponiskamsidi.multiply.com/journal/item/1/Sejarah_musik_kota_Solo) writes that the creator of Mother Earth is a composer of songs from Solo, Kamsidi Samsuddin. Granted the Kamsidi Samsuddin creator, hence the nickname komponisnya questionable. Therefore, the Indonesian government should revoke the song Kulihat Ibu Pertiwi  (I see Motherland) from the list of national songs and apologize to the creator of life. If not, Indonesia does not need to blame the Malaysians like tracings are made in Indonesia, because Indonesia itself like tracing.

Sure, I've known this song since my childhood. Me and my 'Sunday School' friends used to sing this song in the Indonesian language translation; Yesus Ada Sobat Kita. I agree that the song was not recognized as a national anthem, because it's realy embarrassing.
