It may be possible to spoof the results of the London 2O12 but there in print are clear and concise league
tables and as a woman writer I turn the pages carefully and set down to reading up the results though I
must admit I find it hard news that someone could wish to scupper the results but then nothing is surprising these days.
The USA is No 1 and after that China: Korea: GB is No 4 : France is 5th and Germany 6: with Italy 7 : Korea: 8: Kazakhstan 9 and Russian Fed 1O:
So the winners take all and its a great day for those champions who cause such merriment and joy
in the national newspapers where their every move is charted by the Media.
Consider what it must be like to win all those medals and get to the league results tables as well with
your photograph splashed all over the front pages of every newspaper in the UK and across the world
the news keeps popping up about who has won what and which country is TOP or which country is
bottom with the feeling of excitement creeping into the proceedings and everyone wishing to
participate in their own special way when they get the chance which is rare for the outsider.
Even today the spirit of London 2O12 has touched the feet of the Under 5s and I saw a tiny tot a little boy
being ushered onto the bus and there he was proud as can be with his super smart deck shoes and how
well he strode onto the bus wearing those sporty shoes.
