Environmental pollution

Development of cities, industry, and motorization causes Environmental pollution. Billions of toxic gases and dusts are let out to atmosphere every day. Falling down in from of rain, they destroy our planet. Experts say that environmental pollution has become within the last 50 years the biggest problem in the world. Where is the reason of it? The truth may not be as perfect as we could think. Unfavourable human’s activity threatens our Earth.
Air in our cities is not clean. Traffic fumes, not renewable sources of energy, factories contaminate our atmosphere. Arising compounds, for example carbon dioxide precipitate on plants, soil and are very dangerous for people. These harmful gases also cause smoke over metropolises. The consequence of it is that we can notice global warning and climate change. To decrease this process we should improve public transport, fit filters to factory chimneys, or use alternative sources of energy. As a result, our cities with clean air would be healthier places to live in.
Another problem we have to face with is lessening level of ozone layer. This is very formidable for living on the Earth because ozone absorbs ultraviolet radiation, which causes skin cancer, reduction human resistance system, and genetic changes. The main factor of it is methane, aerosols, nuclear explosions, or launching rockets. The situation could be improved if we reduce the use of aerosols, which are the main reason of decreasing ozone layer.
Finally, the negative effect of our activity is industrial waste. It need to be gathered on special places called land fill sites which cause unpleasant smelling smoke and pollution of water. This last is very dangerous. Water has been considered as a renewable source for many years. Unfortunately, an excessive using of it brings out that rainfalls are not sufficient to satisfy human’s needs. Useful suggestion would be to separate, recycle rubbish, and invest money in sewage treatment plants.
Environmental pollution is one of the most important global problems we have to face with. There are many solutions now to improve the situation of our planet. The time has some to start understanding that “Earth is dearer than gold”. We all need to do whatever we can before our world without clean air, water, soil become a terrible reality.
