Why should we always help one another?
“Let us hurry to love people, they depart so quickly” – these are the words of a famous Polish poet Father John Twardowski.
How can we show people that we love them? I suppose that the most significant and emphatic way is to help them when they are in need.
There are as many kinds of
giving a support as one can imagine. It can be either between individuals (for example two neighbours) or wider between countries as a
global partnership.
As far as we consider the first type, people can help each other by carrying someone’s luggage, giving up one’s seat to elderly woman, or by administering a medicine to a sick neighbour. These apparently simple and not so complicated activities do not consume a lot of time, but for someone in need, seem to be very indispensable. One can feel that no matter what happens there is still someone to rely on.
The other way to prove that one cares about the others is to offer some talk seeing that someone has a problem. It will not solve it, but it makes
possible to pass through hard times or difficult situation.
Helping can have a global impact. Member charities serve basic
human needs to the poorest people on the earth, providing nutrition food, clean water, safe shelter, and trained medical attention to the most vulnerable in disasters. Many organizations make a great effort to raise awareness and resource to assist the people in rebuilding their lives and communities. Already much has been done to equip people in
need with the education skills. The main purpose for that is to make
progress and provide a better future.
To conclude, I would like to underline that a human being does not exist as an individual, but belongs to a social community. By no means would the achievement of contemporary civilization be possible, if there was not any cooperation.
Furthermore, we can say that helping each other is the only way to make a progress.
