Book Summary   by:lady royce     Original Author: lisa fischeto

Well, I started reading this book a long while back and with a childs mind grew fond of it. ficticious characters and a land made of candy and sweets as far as the childs mind could stretch. I think gene wilder did the movie justice and gave the book a whole new awakening from the shelf. The book taught children how certain things are bad and how they should react to them. I feel now a days parents dont let their children imagine quit as much as the book helped me too. I love this book of little men and wild imaginations and thinking the impossible. If you just realize how much knowledge one can gain from watching fast crazy boats and funny colored oompa loompas along with music and acting youde find a whole new way of watching movies together and getting back to basics and knowing your children. So what Im saying is if you love music and action and just good plain wild fun than watch this fantasy stroll thru wonderful amazement. Well you start of with a poor little boy who is helping take care of his sickly grand relatives while being poor as can be and he is such a good hard working child but also loves adventure and believes anything can happen. His mother is a neighborhood clothes washer and the father works in a plastic factory, charlie pucket (the little boy) delivers newspapers for pittance but still keeps a good head. the grand relatives are sweet but always sickly in bed and never walking except for grandpa joe who has always believed in charlie and give the boy hope.
The chocolate factory opens again some years later and candy bars are given out to stores with golden tickets in them only 5 golden tickets and whoever finds them gets to go to the factory and see all the wonderous amazement that is the chocolate factory. Along the way there is a man who tries to detere the children from being good and it works except for charlie pucket. While in the factory they drink fizzy lifting drinks and watch chocolate candy bars go from gigantic to itty bitty and watch a kid named mike teevee turn from full size to so smalll he gets lost in his mothers purse. watch varuca salt get sucked down a bad egg machine and her father falls in after her. See violet eat a piece of forbidden gum and turn into a ginormis blue berry and have to be rolled away for being so bad and hard headed and for not listening to anyone. Like I said before folks, its fun, exciting and amazing. you learn lessons in the movie see comedy, hear singing and get to use your imagination to the fullest. Read the book ,See both versions of the movie (gene wilder) and (johnnie depp) there are differences in the movie and books but that happens. its good clean wacky fun for everyone..5 yrs and up.
