Script Writing
A film or a
teleserial binds the viewers due to its aural, visual behavioral and lingual elements. The
outline of such elements bound in a document is called a ‘script’. A script must conform to the standards that all involved parties understand (the director, producer, casts, editor and other important parties of the film or the
teleserial) and thus has a specific format, layout and other conventions.
Since a film or a teleserial is a visual medium, the story written has to be presented
visually to the
audience. The script must involve what the audience sees and what they will hear.
The discipline of script writing involves the presentation of the characters’ thoughts visually to the audience.
