Often on my travels from here to London and back I get into conversation with a fellow passengers whose whole gambit and direction is to talk shop to talk about Shakespeare. After 20 years full time teaching its not a problem and I gladly add my contribution to the conversation on the Shakepearian plays and poems.
However, it stretches one's imagination to absolute margins when one discovers that the
local person has stolen one's buttons .. sounds like a first line of a play or a quote from
Bob Dylan's great song book.
I was astonished to get my suit back and find that they had cut off all my buttons and no attachment was served up or explanation given as to why ...
Its extraordinary in this day and age that no permission is ever sought as to what to do with my own property in terms of clothes, PCs or any other item I happen to own .. still I managed to retrieve the situation somewhat by contacting my co author in Turkey and got the check in to cover it ..
Happy Days obtaining my lst in Theatre/Drama in Shakespearian Studies ... UK .. keep on writing .. which is the Justice and which is the Thief ....... the Justice is The Police and the Thief is the beggar at your door who steals from your store!
