The story takes place after the events that occur in Superman: The Movie and Superman II, and the red – caped hero visits the remnants of his destroyed home planet Krypton and then returns to
earth to resume his role of the people’s savior. He comes back to find that earth has moved on without him, his love Lois Lane too (played by Kate Bosworth).
