Theodore Robert "Ted" Bundy grew up without knowing the identity of his
father. His
mother gave birth to him in a home
for unwed women. To
avoid embarrassment, his grandparents made him believe that he was
their child and that his biological
mother was his sister. He only
learned the truth when he was in high school. His tumultuous childhood
may have cued in Ted Bundy to become one of the fastest and most ferocious
serial killers in US history. It was believed that his thirst for blood may have started as early as when he was fourteen when an
eight-year-old-girl from his town vanished in the summer of 1961.
Although quite successful in later life, Ted Bundy couldn't overcome
disappointments. After experiencing frustrations and resentments from
his relationship with his first girlfriend, he slipped back into his
murderous escapades. Ted Bundy is known today as the Poster Boy of
Serial Killers.
