Ergotism, Truth Behind The Salem Witch Trials

Article Summary by: englishcomp

Is it possible the entire town of Salem Mass. was suffering from hallucinations ? Yes ! Evidence supports this through research.
With findings submitted through archeology and anthropolgy the conclusions drawn are this. During this time period in Salem Mass. the Common practice of storing grain. Was to store grains in a large grain house. Which was not always completely sealed to protect the grains from the elements (rain). It is a scientific fact that when grains get wet or moisture sets in. Mold is produced and depending on the type of grain (rye) something else is eventually produced from the mold. This would be (lasergic acid) or LSD to the common world. Thus causing ergot syndrome. Surely during this time period of the Salem witch trials. There was no such knowledge of the effects of mold spores and the mass production of lasergic acid. However the effects speak for themselves. An entire village swept into insanity. Who''s to say the residents of Salem Mass. didn''t actually see what they thought they saw. When everyone was hallucinating. I''m almost positive if all of us were under the influence of LSD and one us looked up saw a witch flying on a broom we would all see it. Let''s keep those grains especially rye !  Dry !
