WAVES FROM THE PAST:THE BOMBING OF HIROSHIMA

Article Summary by: goldenfinger

Original Author: BULUTUTU OZUAH
A gigantic explosion tore apart the Japanese city of Hiroshima on August 6 1945,this marked the beginning of the nuclear
age.On that day,an atomic bomb was dropped on the permeable skin of the air by a US bomber Enola Gay.About 140,000 mortals were feared dead, the devastating effect of this crime against humanity is still felt today in the city of Hiroshima.
At that moment,it dawned on all and sundry that a deadly weapon has been created by man for the extramination of man..Back then, the United States of America was the only nuclear power in the world.4years after the bombing of Hiroshima, the then Soviet Union became a nuclear power. The two most powerful nations on Earth dangled there might with restraint because they were aware of the grave consequences of a nuclear war.
Unfortunately, neither Moscow nor Washington suceeded in concealing the formular for building nuclear weapons.Today,North Korea and a host of other countries has joined the bandwagon of nuclear powers. It is my hope that these dangerous weapons of mass destruction would not fall into the hands of nefarious men. What we need at this point in time is nuclear restraint, nuclear unleash would do us no good.

we, on this earth planet, have yet to realise the devastating effect the weapons of mass destruction would have on life.We are concentrating on 'FATHER OF ALL BOMBS'' to respond to the ''MOTHER OF ALL BOMBS''.Nobel for peace needs to be given wider horizens!
