Rodrigo Diaz de Viva (1043-1099), the
peasant cid, is not only one of the biggest personalities of history of Spain, but
also of the world history. Even nowadays it is doubted on his true existance as a person, therefore it''s too difficult to separate fiction from reality.
Still very young he served as guardian to the king Sancho in wars, and this one delivered him despite his bothers
Alfonso VI, Don Garcia, Dona Elvira and Dona Urraca for the kings that his father Don Fernando I had distincted among them like an heresis after his death. Sancho won everybody, except for Dona Urraca who was defended with tenency in Zamora. During the occupation a soldier called Bellido Dolfos, left the city, burned the occupants and killed king Sancho.
Although they did not have a king, the nobility had to call Alfonso VI who was almost about to get the empty throsne. For this they fixed an appoitment at church of Santa Gadea the Castelian knights and corresponded to Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar to get it and sworn that he had nothing to do with death of king Sancho his brother. Nobody had liked this to have happened to the new monarch that had to get humiliated to give a swore of wether he wanted to reign.
Then Cid joined the service of Alfonso CI by tricksof the court, he deterrted this in 1081. Ever since the cid had had to fight on his account among the insoluble problems that Spain waw divided by that time in moral and christian kings. He completed the foreign paper ''''WARRIER FOR EVERYTHING'''', a transhuman and powerful force, here and there under everybody''s service each time.
Reconciliated sometimes with Alfonso VI, and other times being hostile to him. He became exrtemely rich, by getting welfare, squares, castles and territories, to what he had been faithful all his life.
In 1099, Cid is died defending the city of Valencia against new arab invasions and his personality already huge from just himself, became immortal. So ever since many fictions started over him, like the one on the battle he won, after his death, on his famous swords the colade and his belt that were able to kill many mortals within battles, there from the lion that escaped from its cage and by killing it throughout melany forced him to return to the same, that of judo that seeing him dying perhaps mandated him (to kill it) the beard in order to burn and he deterred this throughout his belt. That was the Jew''s fear that he was convrted to Christianity. The wars of Cid against muris during the Spanish conquest he regained many of the Spanish territories on behalf of Christianity that he definately felt in 1492 along with Boabdill''s leaving, the last mortal king of Granada.
