This is a
book in which the author described in accesible way a few
dozen of very
interesting fragments of Poland's history. The book has been divided into 6 main parts: Secrets of dynasties, Who They Were?, Out of This World, Truth or Myth?, "Law and Left". In each one you can find several or a dozen or so sub-chapters focusing precisely on chosen topic. It may not be in-deep analysis, but for
people intereted in
history it would be enough at least as a prelude to more careful research on the
topic of their interest. Numerous graphics makes the intereting content even more interesting. Every topic takes similar amount of pages, what is both disadvantage and advantage of the book. There are many interesting
pages of Poland's history presented in the book. An example may be Kmicic who was a real person, used (after some modifications) by Sienkiewicz in his novel. Such interesting titbits are countless here. It is surely worth reading by people who just start their adventure with history.
