A challenging concept ... The
History of Europe .. and it depends upon whether one is starting back to a 1955 map of the world and moving hither and thither as the spirit decrees or going onto the Media Geography Inserts in Media and Communications.
Every person I know has now had to write up the
new and revised History of Europe.
Watching DVDs as I do from
time to time .... I note the
changes here in England
in
terms of motorways, major roads and the end of the picturesque place I once
knew when I first moved to London in 1966. There is nothing of it left ...only a memory.
Films can recreate that feeling of solid worth of Europe .. where there is a green belt or an area of outstanding beauty. I must admit in 1986 I did enjoy ski-ing in Austria and the scenery was magnificent. In terms of other parts of Europe ... the changes are mostly
communicated through occasional visits .... Prague Post sends me email newsletters and I get a mixed bag sort of notion about the History of Europe .... it now is firmly focused on
the E.U. And we welcome new
