UNDERSTANDING GOD’S GRACE (3)
BIBLE READING: John 15: 1-11
In this study we shall see various
channels of God’s grace, this will enable us understand how to diligently and constantly desire and seek for it because without the grace of God, we are nothing and we can do nothing.
channels OF GOD''S GRACE
Some of the channels by which God’s grace is received are:
& middot;  constant studying and obeying the Scripture (Jn 15:1-11; 20:31; 2Ti 3:15)
·  hearing the proclamation of the gospel (Lk 24:47; Ac 1:8; Ro 1:16; 1Co 1:17-18);
·  praying and fasting (Heb 4:16; Jude 20; Mt 4:2; 6:16);
·  worshiping Christ (Col 3:16);
·  and being continually filled with the Holy Spirit (Eph 5:18);
Even today, the grace of God is still available
God promised to answer us when we call upon Him when we are in trouble, he will deliver us (Jer 33:3; Ps 91:15; Is 58:9).
Jesus says ‘Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest’ Mat 11:28
When we pray, believe and remain in Him, we have sufficient grace to receive answers to our prayers, this is a promise of God (Is 65:24; Zec 13:9; Lk 11:9; Jn 15:7)
The Thompson Chain Reference Bible summarizes the grace Christ provides scripturally as:
Being exhibited in Childhood – Lk 2:40; Jn 1:17
Manifested in self-sacrifice – 2 Cor 12:9
Bestowed upon sinful men – 1 Tim 1:12, 13
It remains the source of our power – 2 Tim 2:1; Rev 22:21
CONCLUSION

It is wonderful to know and be assured that:
We are saved by grace – Acts 15:11; Tit 2:11
We are justified freely by grace – Rom 3:23
We become heirs having the hope of eternal life – Tit 3:7
We need to continually walk in the grace of God, work in the grace of God and trust in the grace of God. Let us not abuse this great privilege by rejecting the free offer, we need not allow the situation and circumstances surrounding us to cause us throw away this free gift of God.
Let us keep on believing that whatever happen to us as Christians, the grace of God is sufficient to us and He will see us through in as much as we take it to Him in prayer and we strengthen our faith.
