The Alchemist

Book Review by: Priyadarshini

Original Author: Paulo Coelho
There are times when we wake in the morning and wonder if life gave us all that we needed. And most times we are dissatisfied
with what we have received. However, there is something else that is beyond dissatisfaction. It is called thirst.
In the book The Alchemist, the author tells us how the thirst for more exposure, knowledge and the hunger for seeking truth that is beyond what's visible can never have a negative impact on our individuality.
We might have to undergo terrible hurdles (often contemplating giving up) and yet, we have to surpass everything to reach our goal.
There are times, when the goal is invisible to us and right before us. Everything that comes to us is a miracle and we must recognise it.
The book is for those who are seeking some answers to their quest. The language is simple and yet touches the heart. Very well written. One of Coelho's best.
