According to various studies, Nazi war against cancer is both provocative and disquieting. During Nazi Germany (1933-1945),
cancer turned into an important social metaphor. Nazi portrayed Jews, gypsies, gays and other enemies, as “tumors” that had to be eliminated from the political German body. This and the racial sanitary utopia reserved exclusively for pure and healthy Germans, led the Nazis to promote the development of heatlh actions directed to cancer control. The Nazi led the most aggressive antitobacco campaign of modern history. During Hitler´s government wide measures of public health were developed, including restrictions to asbestos, pesticides, radiation and nutrition colorings. Health officials introduced strict standards of occupational health and promoted healthy diet policies that went hand to hand with healthy messages
