Simon Harvey-Wilson explains what is the meaning of human levitation: ‘It occurs when a person hovers or moves
through the air with no visible means of support, seemingly in defiance of the force of
gravity’. Levitation seems to be something paranormal o miraculous, so it has been regarded as a religious phenomenon. But maybe parapsychology is the most appropriate approach. Kenneth Behrendt, an american engineer and chemist consultant, believes his "anti-mass field theory" explains a variety of paranormal phenomena, such as levitation, and he is convinced that his anti-mass field theory explains UFOs than levitation.
The author describes some cases of levitation, from the most famous levitating spirit medium, Daniel Dunglas Home (1833-1886), to shamanism, in cases of poltergeist activiy, Indian, yogis, fakirs and tibetan Lamas, cases of alien abductions, etc. For those who like to live such experience, some prectitioners of Transcendental Meditation claim that it is possible to learn to levitate.
