I can remember people talks about (Ashige) prison Of Maldives.It was a small 30feet by 15 feet,hight 8 feet room built in the premises of National Deffenc force Head Quater is now in the center of Male'' the capital of Maldives. In side the Cell Prison toy get 20 feet Stocade made out of wood (in between two planges of hard wood you get wholes to put both legs and locked).The food they serve was a small potion of dried tuna fish and two to three pieces of coconuts.Only once a day,early in the morning.No toilet only you get a five litter round tin and a bucket of water for the urination and bowel moments. Body wash once a week,specially on friday''s at the beach side well.No lights in the cell on the floor Prisoners sleeps laying a coconut palm met. This cell is actually for remand cases and after the sentence is served prisoner will be banished or houser rest. But any one comes out of this dark cage within seven to ten days will be like a skaliton, no flesh in the body,no strenth and no stemina and the recovery comes atleast a month after.
