People of Indus valley civilization, in Harappan periods had knowledge of medicine and dentistry. Ayurveda originated over 2000 years ago in South Asia. Its two most famous texts belong to the schools of Charaka and Susruta from India.
Egyptian medicines were also developed in arround 3000 BC. Concepts of diagnosis, prognosis, physical examination and prescriptions came with babylonian medicinal development. Persian medicines were introduced on measles and smallpox very effectively for the first time. Chinese, Hebrew and Roman people also added their knowledge to medicinal development.
