By the time Louis the 14th was in power in France (he was known as the Sun King), the middle class or the bourgeoisie were all very angry with the authorities. The middle class were not heard and they often starved to death while the higher class including the Nobles and Clergy lived in great riches and enjoyed exotic foods almost every day. However the Monarchy lived far from Paris in a city named Versailles where he lived in a Palace named after the city. The Palace was huge and all the middle class had heard about its grand features. Louis the 14th would however not be the last King of France. Louis the 16th came to power shortly after he married Marie Antoinette of Austria. Louis the 14th had died in his bed and now Louis the 16th had to step up. Louis the 16th was known for being soft in the beginning and was often manipulated by his advisors. One of these manipulations would lead to a main cause in why France would later run out of funds. To show power to Britain, France sent arms to America during their struggle against England. Money was tight and it seemed to the middle class that the King did not care. It was not long before the Middle Class stormed Versailles and took capture of the King and his Wife. After stern negotiation it was decided he would stay on as King but with little influence over anything. He was later caught trying to escape to another country and he was ultimately beheaded and so was his family. He was the last King of France but the bloody days had only started for France.
Know this basic outline and you are already one step ahead of the others in your class before the new year of school. I hope it was somewhat helpful to all of y'all.
