An important part of the Israeli synagogue culture are the
"parasha"
newsletters that are largely
distributed
in the
synagogue. Their are dozens of different
newsletters, in
which one may find a “Dvar Tora” to be read at the
shabbos
meal, articles, children’s stories and much more.
The pioneers of this industry were the writers of
“Shabat B`shabato”. This newsletter has been published and
distributed for twenty two years in a row, And is the first
shabbos newsletter to have ever been written.
The newsletter was created by the “Machon Tzomet” that is
located in Alon-Shvut, and the spirit behind it is
the talented rabbi and engineer- Yisrael Rosen.
The newsletter contains a large variety of columns,
so each reader may find an interest. This newsletter,
without a doubt, lounched a revolution that allows the
study and handling of the “Parasha” available to all-
religious or secular.
Many people that would never read tha bible or “chumash” are happy to receive a colorful, attractive and
interesting paper and via it meet the “Parasha” and traditional contents
that are composed in an easy to read way.
