learning a language I didn''t like
1.You download some courses form emule that a friend recommends to you.
Even worse ,you look for websites that promise
free language lessons that will make you fluent.Free things are somehow better..
2 You postpone learning the pronunciation and alphabet.Your main concern now is communication.No one will understand you of course, because you speak like a retard ,and you can''t write in their language anyway.
3 You avoid grammar subjects as much as possible,or just cut it out the list.If they don''t need to know grammar ,why should you? Am I right or am I right?
4 You don''t need a dictionary,there are plenty of free ones online.
5 You''re having fun reading the food ingredients to the chips you''re about to eat."I need to know every word there is.EVEN potassium benzoate.
6 You want to watch the Spanish version of "Charms" ,but you find out that "The young and the restless" was rescheduled to the same time as "Charms".Can you miss any episodes of it? Noooo.Needless to say you abandoned Spanish with no remorses.
7 The conversation guide is something holy for you,once you finish it ,you think that you''re some kind of native,because you can talk to the dentist or a salesperson.No comment.
8 You review everything in the weekend,it shouldn''t take more than 10 minutes,but the review time is once again interfering with the 3921st episode of "The young and the restless".
9 You meet some natives with whom you are anxious to start a conversation ,but end up using English,why? Because you''re tired, because you don''t know enough Spanish yet,and because and because.
10 Reading books? So early??
Who gave you that idea ?It''s preposturous!That should be accomplished only after years of "hard labour"! "Fine stick to your food labels then".
Next time I should find out you are currently doing 5
languages at a time ,while dreaming that you end up as great as Ziad Fazah..
Anyway ,that''s it,I''m done with the constructive criticism.
If you have other steps of the sort you want to report feel free to do it,and do the exact opposite of what I wrote here,that is,if you want to achieve fluency.
