A talk show is nothing but a very informal kind of debate among the most ordinary people we may meet in everyday life. The only difference is that a talk show has to be programmed or monitored by a
host so that the "debate" can progress at the
desired pace or in the desired fashion.
Neither the guest
speakers nor the audience have to use
formal language or use a strict formal as is the case with a formal debate.Casualness, liveliness and freedom of speech constitute the major characteristics of a talk show.
