Description essay is the essay that describes or depicts a place, situation, or object by way of stimulating the senses of readers so that readers enjoy, or see for themselves what is depicted.

Exposition essay is the essay that describes a situation, process, or problem as clearly as possible. The purpose of this exposition essay is to provide information or explanation to the reader by developing the idea.

Narrative essay is the essay that consists of a group of events arranged chronologically (by time sequence) to be a chain of events.
Which can be classified as a narrative essay, among other novels, short stories, travel stories, anecdotes, and so on.

Based on the placement of the core idea or main idea, paragraphs are divided into several types as follows:
1. Deductive, is the main sentence or main idea is placed at the beginning of paragraphs.
2. Inductive, is the main sentence or main idea is placed at the end of the paragraph.
3. Varied, the main sentence is placed at the beginning and repeated at the end of the paragraph.
4. Descriptive or narrative, is a key phrase contained in the entire paragraph; there is no specific sentence is the main sentence.
