Willingness?
In recent days, especially in my country, Indonesia, the press covered a lot and
getting
hot the divorce trial of Ariel ‘Peter Pan’ (a name of a group band) and his wife. Nothing is
interested, actually. Because, as other artists’ divorce process, the reason
is clise.
But, there is something that has intrigue my
attention. It comes from a statement of an old women who claimed that this
divorce process is just God’s
willingness. God’s willingness? Is it? Is it true
that God want this couple to be apart?
The ‘God’s willingness’ is truly a theme that
will trigger a long-long discussion, even it could be a never-ending debat.
But, the simple question is, “God, the Equitable and Most Justice, want a
separation of a couple who has a little-funny girl?” Isn’t it weird, right?
What I do believe is just that pairing/
marriage is in God’s hand, but not the divorce! Someone could do a mistaken as choosing
husband or wife when they married and then claimed that they are not an idol
couple that they have to the divorce way. However, it should be clarify how was
the process of their marriage. Have they do the process as God’s willing? If
not, don’t say the divorce is the God’s willingness! Period!
