Time magazine is full of interesting news on Turkey and its much discussed
Muslims and sent a video on an
unconventional
Muslim Group in Istanbul in Turkey which is fascintating. The
Muslims are as old as the hills that surround us all in any city anywhere in the world and they are seen at prayer. The reporters make the point that they are
unconventional in as much as women are seen with hair or head uncovered something of a shock we suppose for the usual notion of Muslim Women. The teenage boys and girls are flirting with each other and there is some mix of the sexes as apparently Islam believes in sex segregation and this rule is forced at prayer as well!
The Unconventional Muslims at prayer in Istanbul are seated in a circle and they are responding to the chant of Allah and its a ceremony thats as old as time itself presumably in Turkey. Thanks! Time US for the blog and video via Turkish blog USA! Hard work!
