Sexiness a Must for Todays Lady Singers

Article Summary by: Anonymous

Original Author: Entertainment News
Are singers really chosen and signed for record deals for their talent or is it an
appearance issue? In the past,
talent was how performers were chosen but these
days looks are a necessitie.
Wether its for the billboards or the Grammy awards more and more musicians
are finding that having a great voice and the ability to dance, seems to come second
to that of looking "hot".
While having a conversation about a singer you are more apt to hear, "look
at that outfit" or "they look hot" instead of they are awesome.
In the present time, singers seem to be young and gorgeous, while there were
singers from the past who just had a great voice and they were extremely talented
instead of being a knock out. Talent has started to become an on the backseat issue,
where appearance and sex appeal has moved up to the front.
Singers sometimes seem to appear as they should be rated for adults only,
so that children of today are not introduced to sexual appeal and influences before
due time.
Rather than just singing, singers from the past are realizing that they need to
perform. They need to be able to dance as well as have the talent to put their input
into their own videos. Not only do they need to have talent for these videos but they
need to be able to provide them with the sex appeal that will help to fly their songs
and videos to the top of the popularity charts. In their videos not only do they use
great choreography, other outstanding performers, and possibly even models to
continue with the top quality of their videos. Having models and sex appeal makes
the video more enticing to a range of different age brackets.
The problem that alot of parents are having is that children are looking up to
these singers and performers. Children buy clothing and accessories that would make
them look like the singer, which means that the children are not always picking the
attire that we would approve of. More often than not, children are using the popularity
of singers, by dressing like them, because of this they are finding that their popularity
grows at school as well.
Peolpe have said for years how movies and television shows can be a bad
influence on youngsters but is it time to really take a look at the music world, to
see if we need more rules and ratings to protect our children from sexual appear-
ances and inuendos.
While growing up, as well as now, I have always felt that music has and always
will be a major part of my life. As an adult, I feel that the talent should be more zeroed
in on instead of the sexiness. As a parent, of 3, I feel that sexual appearance should
come after the quality of performances and that there should be a way for us to allow
music, as important as it is, to be a constant in our childrens lives.
I know that without the music in my life things would have been a great deal
different, for me growing up and I want music to be that important of a category, for
my childrens lives and those of others. From growing up learning about music it to
keeping it in our lives wherever we wish. For some it would be performer while
others could be fans that buy their favorite artists new cds and go to their concerts.
In closing, I would like to say this, "I believe that sexiness can be a part of
the music industry, but I don''t feel that it needs to be pointed out as as being
such a high necessity."
