OF RELIGION:
INTRODUCTION:
Philosophy is the oldest form of systematic, scholarly inquiry. The modern discipline concerns the study of the truths or principles underlying all knowledge, being, and reality, and the critical evaluation of such fundamental doctrines. Religions are complex phenomena, defying definition or summary. As many definitions and theories of religion exist as there are authors to write about it. Three different approaches may be taken to the scholarly study of religion: the historical approach, the phenomenological, and the behavioral or socio-scientific.
PHILOSOPHY:
Philosophy is the discipline that is concerned with question of how one should live; what sorts of things exist and what are their essentials natures, what counts as genuine knowledge and what are the principles of reasoning. The word itself comes from two Greek Words (Philo means love and Sophia means wisdom).
Though no single definition of philosophy is controversial, and the field has historically and expanded field and changed depending upon what kinds of questions were interesting or relevant in a given era, it is generally agree that philosophy is a method rather than a set of claims, propositions, or theories. Its investigations are based upon rational thinking.
RELIGION:
Religion is a set of common beliefs and practices generally held by a group of people, often codified as prayer and religious law. Prayer is the act of attempting to communicate, commonly with a sequence of words with a spirit for the purpose of worshipping, requesting guidance, assistance, confessing sins or to express one’s thoughts and emotions.
After having the basic concept about the philosophy and religion then come the combine meaning and the separate category of philosophy of religion.
PHILOSOPHY OF RELIGION:
Philosophy of religion is a branch of philosophy that is concerned with the philosophical study of religion, including arguments over the nature and existence of God, religious language, miracles, prayer, the problem of evil and the relationship between religion and other value-systems such as science and ethics among others.
MANY PEOPLE WANT TO SERVE GOD BUT AS ADVISORS:
Working all month long for a salary…well yes, we need to work for food but work is not our life! God is our life and we should stop advising God…He knows the Big Picture; He alone has the final perspective. Stop worrying and instead trust God!
“That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying, Behold my servant whom O have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my Spirit ion him, and he shall show judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not strive nor cry; neither shall any man hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not break, till he sends forth judgment unto victory” (Matthew 12:17-21)
This quote that I found on the internet was so true that I just had to say something about it…in the days that we live in, most people just want to live out their lives in relative security and at the same time be assured of the fact that they are going to heaven…many people that call themselves Christians go to church every Sunday, sometimes during the week and that is the extent of their spiritual lives.
When you live in a country like America it is so easy to take the life that you have for granted, it is easy to forget the fact that your two cars and huge house are gifts from God and that it is only through God’s wondrous grace that you were placed where you are to begin with. God calls us out from our materialistic lifestyle; God does not want us to spend all our time in the money chasing game that is going on these days.
God wants us to trust Him. How many times have you thought that you have to do this and this and this to get through the next month? While you were adding the money up, did you remember to put aside the ten percent that belongs to God… what about the extra money that should come out of our hearts out of love and gratitude for what God has done for us? Are you afraid that there will not be enough money to get through the month and at the same time allow you to visit all those restaurants and shopping malls? Why don’t you say a prayer and just start trusting God, to take care of you?
"…I trust in Thy word" (Psalms119:42)
How many times had God allowed things to go a certain way, and instead of just trusting that God will resolve the issue, you decided that God needed some help in figuring out what to do? What happened to, "I trust Thy word"?
God tells us in His word that all we need to do is trust in Him and He will take care of us,
"Trust in the Lord and do well; so shall thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shall be fed."( Psalms 37:3.)
God will not allow one of His children to go hungry…the Bible tells us that our Father in heaven knows what we need.
Our hearts shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name…But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them shout for joy because thou defendant them…our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted and thou didst deliver them. They cried into thee and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. All that we need to do is to start trusting God to do what He says that HE is going to do.
We need to stop telling God what to do because, in the first place, it is not our business to do something like that and secondly God knows what is best for us, a lot better then we do, not to mention the fact that you are sinning when you tell God what to do because it is a blatant display of distrust.
God saved us from sin and called to a life of righteousness with Christ shining through our lives to the people around us…come on folks, let’s starts living for God!
"But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever." (Psalms 52:8)
EXISTENCE OF GOD: FACTS AND FIGURES DOES GOD EXIST?
Believing in the Existence of God is like believing in the existence of a flower. Even though a flower may not be directly visible to us but we can feel its presence by the fragrance it emits. God also exists but we cannot see it due to the limitations of the senses. God the Almighty is beyond the capture of the senses and the mind.
If you are a theist you already believe in the Existence of God! If you are an atheist you look forward to clues which would scientifically or otherwise prove the Existence of God.
Both the theories are correct. It is only saying that the glass is half full and the other half empty! Belief in the Existence of God stems from extreme faith in the system of God the Almighty Creator. Being on the highest level of manifestation human beings understand that nothing gets created on its own.
If we believe in the fact that the whole universe is the creation of God then we believe in assume that "God Does exist". On the contrary atheists desire a proof of Existence of God. As per Jainism beliefs there is no Existence of God and they do not believe in the existence of a Creator. According to Jainism the Cosmos exists from times immemorial.

Why is it so that strong nonbelievers of God tend to b
