A COURSE IN MIRACLES – More than “one more book”, is a challenge to faith, to the automatism of our behaviors and attitudes, and the capacity in reformulating the beliefs systems that we were and we have been submitted in our lives. This book embraces us because it has a rich, controversial and rather affirmative containt.
So it is A COURSE IN MIRACLES which is edited originally by FOUNDATION FOR INNER PEACE. It was written by a medical psychologist american teacher. Her name is Helen Schucman. She was totally devoted to her successful career and not entirely interested in spirit and spirituality issues. She experienced strange dreams and visions she couldn’t understand just three months before the beginning of the revelations. One day everything began. She allowed herself to submit to an inner voice during almost 7 years in spite of all the difficulties of her professional conscience. This voice instructed her about controversial themes and human psychism which were too revolutionary; and also about the behavior to be adopted by the human kind to achieve a superior state of spirituality. Therefore how to proceed to go back to the source – God.
As written in the book miracles are authentic love expressions when we are in perfect harmony and balance without the ego’s illusions and interferences. It happens when we allow God to speak and act through us. There are only six elements related in the book. 1) God (the father); 2) Jesus (the son); 3) The Holy Spirit; 4) The superior SELF of each one of us; 5) each one of us in our actual spirit development state; 6) Our brother or sister, represented by any human being.
A COURSE IN MIRACLES tells us about the fundamental importance of the Holy Spirit who assumes the role of a protector father against the sufferings and illusions created by the ego. The connection with the Holy Spirit is possible only through prayers and requests made with faith just like that Guardian Angel during our childhood. This is one of the main challenges specially to the adults that consider themselveves self-sufficients to deal with any kind of situations in life. For this reason we should pray and ask the Holy Spirit to orient us because we don’t have conditions all the time to face our problems. There are situations in which we feel insecure and also impotent to face them. This is the greatest challenge to prove our faith. We must believe in a strong power that is able to identify each one of us and know what is best for us in the difficult moments. As the voice said, guilt, sin and fear do not exist. Any of them are responsible in our minds to keep us apart from God. To conclude, we learn that love and forgiveness, practiced as a behavior and attitude standards are the key for the liberation from the ego and consequently of the illusions and sufferings on Earth. Resuming, if we change our thinking patterns we change our reality.
