Long time ago, letters was the only way to communicate in the whole world, then came Alexander Graham Bell and invented the first telephone and world got a faster way to communicate but it took quite sometime before it was fully developed and can transmit calls from across the seas and before we knew it the telephone can already connect to anywhere around the globe Now everything has change, from simple telephone came the computers. In just a click of a finger your letter can be send electronically and we called it now emails. After a while came pager where anyone can transmit short messages but also with the aid of the telephone. Mostly doctors are the one using it. After that technology had developed celphones and everything has change, communication has been fast paced than ever. At first only few can afford to have it but as times goes by and It was not a Motorola monopoly anymore, it became affordable and almost everyone has it, even a child. As the competition became stiff celphones have become more high tech.almost every fortnight there''s a new model that’s coming out from various celphone companies and even have the features of computers but as we will analyze it we might think, is it doing us good or creating more complications and problems and even challenge the morals of any human being. Some might raise their eyebrows and ask why. We won’t need a genius or an expert to study what this modern technology has been doing to our moral values. Even the most educated person will agree that celphones have already ruined some once happy families,why again? We all knew that celphone is the easiest means of communications now and everyone can use it in anyway they want. Others might be responsible enough to just use it in important matters like businesses and for them its a necessity but for those who treat celphone as just a toy can use it to lure anyone in their favor.
There has been countless stories of families being destroyed because text mate. One classic example i know is a family where the husband is working in Saudi Arabia and his family was left behind here in the Phil. For twelve long years everything was going on smoothly and they have an ideal family. The kids have grown up to be good children even in the absence of their fathers guidance, the wife was ever so faithful and take good care of her children.Until he decided to own a celphone for the reason that it would be easier to connect with his family. But temptation was really at bay, as everyone in their company has celphone and has text mates other than their families, he was also tempted to have one. He found one in Greece, also a Filipina OFW,like him away from home and family. To make a long story short, through celphone a feeling was developed and when they both come home, they met and leave their families for a period of time, his family not knowing where he was and what happened to him. It has been a pain unbearable for them, the children became bitter and the once happy family is now almost strange to their father.So if modern technology has good benefits to human being, same way it has evil effects. Whichever way it is, we are the one responsible for whatever it may cause us.
