PROS FOR ADULT BAPTISM: · When you are an adult you can fully understand the commitment of being a Roman Catholic. · They can make up their own mind about God when they are an adult. · They have a choice at adulthood about how to be baptized. (dunking, pouring, and sprinkling) · None of the baptisms recorded in the New Testament mention infants. CONS FOR INFANT BAPTISM: · You are imposing your religion on someone. There are religions that do not Baptize children or infants as they believe it needs to be a personal decision made by an adult. · It could break the freedom of religion and thought which are guaranteed by many democratic foundations. · Psychologists say that childhood experiences affect later personality. · parents and children develop a stronger sense of unity, by sharing the same religion. · Another one is that the churches can increase the number of believers. Consequently they could make profits and gain bigger voices in politics.
