Nehemiah lived about V century a. C., was born in the city of Babylon in the time of Jewish exile. For years he served as an officer of King Artaxerxes I of Persia (dominant nation in the region for those days). Named as Governor (- 445), contributed to the organization of the Jews in Jerusalem, working for the interests of the people. His task was to promote meritorious rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem in the midst of powerful and intimidating enemies. (Nehemiah 4:7). However, with all its achievements, Nehemiah was made famous by a greater connotation, and which together with Ezra compiled the Book of the Law (Scripture) and the promotion of rigorous and detailed study of each of its lines.
Primary concern for a society broken up after the exile and needed to regain its essence, the lost identity after years of physical and spiritual captivity, no doubt the Jewish nation needed more intricate rescue their values, but these were not in the crowd, or even in the same Nehemiah, the substantive, vital and constitutive for the settlers was in the Law of Moses, same as despised by the Jewish leaders and servants, said the splitting of a great empire. (Ezekiel 37:11) (1 Kings 9: 6-7)
In essence, the writing is the basic element upon which supports the Christian life, as in Israel without any structure eventually collapsed, and that Nehemiah understood, although the town lay in a dismal condition as a result of enemy scourge the long period of captivity, it was time to rebuild the State, by placing a mainstay of the word (Christ). As for a man willing to manage your life the right way, it is imperative to give a prominent place to the word of God, which means not only read but to implement some guidelines unavoidable as follows:
1. Read the Book Clearly (Amos 8:8 a)
Addressing the text with full assurance of being nourished by a book with the most prominent content level and eternal implications, so that the approach to the word of God must not be sporadic or relying on a cursory review, but requires proper break and consideration of the Historically, geopolitical and ethical, social and spiritual mostly expressed therein.
This way of approaching the writing is explained in terms of the usefulness of it, "teaching, rebuking, correcting, instructing" (2 Timothy 3:16), words which in no way apply to a light reading of the Bible, the whole time for its realization, both processes require scriptural immersion (Detailed study - Address of the Holy Spirit).
2. Put in the reading direction (Amos 8:8 b)
After writing core ranks in Judah, one people, one person, it is necessary to ensure that this condition is not lost, it suffices to recall that when Israel enters Canaan after the death of their leader Joshua, the nation''s full God forgot, there arose a generation saturated with being, but he did not know the "I Am" that was placed there, so were easy prey to its neighbors. (Judges 2: 10-14)
Without the word, sin, decay, weakness, works of the flesh and the entire compendium of desires of this world, just by harassing, bullying the subject, go astray from God''s purpose.
Avoid such nonsense, requires the reliance on the floor every day, thus reinforcing the awe of the Lord (God), keeping his words in mind and heart and obliged to obey. (Deuteronomy 17: 18-19).
Moreover, a rigorous study of writing, also requires meditate (focus on one''s own thoughts (of the word)), all that compilation of information collected, that is, to put meaning to what is read, perform due reflection, in addition to extracting principles that inform, to transform human life for the better.
Have meaning in what is read is equivalent to taking pleasure in writing, reviewing texts forward to make discoveries that ultimately say to the servant of God. (Psalms 1:2)
(Joshua 1:8) That word has been thought out, must be exposed, confessed to become a reality in the lives of those who express their immediate surroundings and expanded, with guaranteed approval and conversion in real house of God. (John 14:23).
Conclusion:
Plant, Found, Build it requires demolished applied to recognize the supreme importance of God''s word, read carefully, tirelessly seeking the revelation by the Holy Spirit, making sense in what is read so that doubt, inconstancy and infidelity classic human nature, place unqualified commitment to the Lord in love and faithfulness, with Christ as principle, roads, ports and Target.
