There was a hoax bomb scare at the Sanctuary Site of Lourdes in France where thousands of Roman Catholic Pilgrims were present and were evacuated from the site in the sanctuary but the bomb scare turned out to be a hoax.
30,000 Worshippers gathered for the Feast of the Assumption which is celebrated today the 15th August annually. The place where the site is situated is where the local girl Bernadette Soubiros was acccredited with visions of the Virgin Mary in 1858 in France and more than 6 million worshippers visit the site to receive the cure for illness as there is a belief in the Spring Water coming from The Santuary that it cures illnesses.
AFP reported a warning that 4 bombs were going off at 1300 hrs. but the bombs turned out to be a bomb scare and subsequent to that it was seen as a hoax.
At the Church in England many attend the Feast Day of the Assumption and engage with The Mass and today at St Edmunds RC Church, there was a packed congregation in Church .... hard work!
