When you were a child, were you afraid of the dark? many of us were, we used to think that under the bed, there was a monster ready to snatch us from our parents, but of course, monster do not exist, they were only part of our imagination as kids. Well, many people in our days want to apply the same basic idea to the belief in the devil. They reason " the devil is only part of our imagination, he doesn't exist, he is like that imaginary monster hidden under our bed, he is only the badness within ourselves", but, Is it really the truth?.
Most of the people in the world believe in what the bible says, for example when people is asked: Who do you believe knows more about everything?, they say "God" and when they are asked: Where do you think God placed his knowledge, the most of the people say " in the bible", So they are basically saying that what God say through the bible is true. Then using this reasoning, What does the bible or gods knowledge say about satan the devil?.
The bible says that Jesus was tempted by the devil in the dessert after being baptized to commit an act of worship to him, the devil said to Jesu: "If you render an act of worship to me I can give you all the kingdoms of the earth", then using the same kind of reasoning, we need to ask ourselves this 2 questions: Was the devil mentioned in this part of the bible the "badness" as many people claim? if so, does that mean that Jesus was bad? in both questions the answer is NO. In that account the voice behind the temptation was a spirit creature and again NO, Jesus was not a bad person, he was being tempted by a spiritual wicked person, an enemy of God's people.
But is there more proof that the devil is a real person? Yes, there is. For example, most of the people believe that a person that is perfect has no badness on himself and the bible agrees with that. For instance when Adan a Eve were created they were sinless and perfect and they knew nothing about the wickedness. So, if they had no knowledge about badness, who was the voice that was able to deceive Eve by hiding behind the serpent? The badness? As we said before the only 2 humans on earth had no badness at all, that voice needed to be an spiritual person hiding or using a phisical creature to deceive the first humans.
No doubt the devil is a real person, a spirit creature who was able to deceive Eve and that tried to deceive the very Jesus, the question is, in what ways is he trying to deceive us?..........
