By today's standards, he would have been dubbed a child prodigy. He conversed with religious leaders in their synagogues while a youth. As he grew, he began to teach and preach. According to the Bible, his adult ministry lasted three years. His teachings admonished the people to worship God the Father and accept himself as God's only begotten Son. He taught what is now known as the Golden Rule, to treat other people the way we would like to be treated ourselves. Many times Jesus spoke in parable. A parable is a story used to teach. Several of the parables he taught are familiar to us: The Parable of the Lost Sheep, The Parable of the Lost Coin, The Parable of the Rich Young Ruler, The Parable of the Mustard Seed.
Jesus Christ had a philosophy that encompassed both obedience to God and compassionate mercy for mankind. When faced with injustices he would show his anger; however, when dealing with suffering people, his compassion and love was evidenced. According to history, multitudes of people were influenced by him and followed his teachings. Chief among them were his disciples. This was a group of men who reverenced him as God's Son and preached in His Name. Today, Jesus Christ's philosophy lives on. Multitudes still follow him and his teachings. Many different denominations fall under the umbrella of Christianity. But from the Baptist to the Pentecostal, allagree that Jesus was and is the Son of God, and that Jesus Christ is Lord.
