The many similarities in the two individual’s lives gave me to think that it cannot be by mere accident. My only source of
research was the NT Bible, which led me to believe that Christ was a product of Paul’s mind. At 2Timothy 2:4 it says, “and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”, hence, so far we’ve believed a lie! Here are some similarities Christ and Paul share: (1) Jesus and Paul were both Jews. (2) Christ was called ‘king of the Jews’. (Matthew 2:2), "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?” Paul was called 'the Son of God' (Galatians 1:16 and 24) In fact, the real ‘king’ of the Jews was Paul, the true and first evangelist of the Christian faith. (3) There’s a short bio on Jesus life in the four Gospels. Supposedly he was a Galilean Jew, was regarded as a teacher and healer, was baptized by John the Baptist and was crucified in Jerusalem on orders of the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate under the accusation of sedition against the Roman Empire. There’s a bit lengthier bio on Paul’s life given of his own account. He was a Jew from Tarsus who had brutally
persecuted the Church of God before he
received the vision of Christ. He too was baptized after he received the light. He too was brutally persecuted on account of his spreading the Gospel which was seen as sedition, was kept in prison then taken to Rome where he apparently died a martyr. (4) The birth of Christ took place in a stable indicating symbolically a humble beginning; and a factual humble beginning of Christ when Paul created him on paper after he received the vision. (5) Jesus was considered the Son of God, (Mtt 14:33, “Of a truth, thou art the Son of God.” And Paul also was considered the son of God “And they glorified God in me”. (Galatians 1:24) (6) Christ suffered painfully for us, as per 1Peter 2:21; so did Paul, by his own declaration: “Are they ministers of Christ? or do I speak as a fool? I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.” (2Corinthians 23-27) He implied that he suffered the most, more than Christ. (7) Jesus on faith: “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20) And, “his disciples put their faith in him, Jesus.” (John 2:11) Paul also indicated to put faith in him (Paul) implying to be the Lord. (Acts 26:18), “So that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.” (8) Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist – Paul was baptized by Ananias after he received the vision of Christ (Acts 9:18). (9) Christ and Paul both were stoned. "We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews to Jesus, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." (John 10:33) And Paul said, “Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned.” (2 Corinthians 11:25) (10) Christ the ‘carpenter’ and Paul the ‘tentmaker’ by vocation, symbolically speaking, as ‘build up’ the mind, not builders of their implied vocation: “Is not this the carpenter,” (Mark 6:3) and, “Jesus went around teaching from village to village.” (Mark 6:6) Paul is the ‘tentmaker’ in a symbolical sense too: “and because he was a tentmaker as they were.” And, “he devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.” (Acts 18:5) In both instances it strongly implies they were devoted to preaching – not constructing anything with their hands. (11) Both were persecuted in God’s name: “So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews
persecuted him.” John 5:16 Paul was persecuted: “For I will shew him (Paul) how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.” (Acts 9:16) The people despised him for his earlier leaning. (12) Both, Christ and Paul were noted for the healing of the sick. (13) Both were persecuted and tried. Christ by Pontius Pilate who found nothing wrong with him, and Paul was tried too by the governor Festus who found nothing wrong with Paul worthy of death or bonds. There are many more but it would be too lengthy to list them all. Paul hints why he knows the mystery of Jesus at Ephesians 3:3-4, because the mystery of Christ was his invention. It’s said that “terror breaks out in the face of certainty.” People need to believe and have faith in reality and then there will be no terror.
