Christianity is the most popular religion in the world composed of Millions of followers.
Many of these followers don''t know the meaning of the word Christianity. What is Christianity? Christianity is not just a simple religion, but it is our relationship with God.
Some professing christians are saying that they are christians but they do not do what the BIBLE says. The Bible says " YOU SHALL NOT WORSHIP IDOLS". I remembered when I asked my Catholic friend "Are you ''worshiping idols"? I asked this because I saw him dancing, offering flowers and coins infront of the Sto. nino statue. He
answered me, "No, because its our tradition". After that I smiled at him and asked another question. "Why are you
repeating the words of your prayer specially when you are praying the HOLY ROSARY"? He answered, "We are repeating the words of our prayer because we want to make sure that our prayers will be heard by God".
After he answered me, I explained to him that God knows what we think and what we need even before we say our prayers. He knows everything. And when you pray, please do it correctly, pray directly to Him, and no more repeatition of words because God HATES chanting! Remember, Jesus Christ said in Matthew 6:7-8 "And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like the pagans, for they think they will be heard because of thier many words. Do not be like them, for your father knows what you need before you ask Him". And lastly dancing, lighting candles at the altar, offering flowers and coins infront of Sto. nino or any statue of saints is a pagan practice of worship (source: goodnews magazine).
