Govind: Lover of living beings
“ Krishna! Krishna! Mahayogin! Bhaktanam Abhyam karam.
Govind! Paramanand! Sarvam
me vash manay”
(Meaning Krishna, the lord of yogis (
spiritual seekers) protector of devotees. Keeper of Cows and giver of abundance may all things be in my hands)
Govind, the keeper of Cows is the all-
knowing Lord of our destiny. We all pray to him in different manner. Some take him as their teacher. For some he is like a lovable parent who is ever willing to take care of them.
Govind ji is mischief-maker. Unlike other gods and goddesses, he never sits still. You will find him playing with milkmaids and milk boys of Gokul.
However, he does not reside at a one place. His abode is everywhere.
Gopal ji, another name of his is always present in all parts of this world.
In Srimad Bhagvad purana, he states to udhhava his principal disciple,”oh udhhava, my abode is not vrindavan or Dwarka but hearts of my devotees.
He further states”, whenever a devotee takes my name with devotion and love, I appear before him or her”.
Many wonder if by praying to him alone are we satisfying other deities. Well he is all knowing divine master. He accepts prayers on behalf of other deities and they all accept our prayers on their behalf.
Krishna means one who attracts. He is always takes away your heart. Thus, his other name is chalia (cheater). You may despise him but when you come across him, all you will do is fold your hand with love.
His very presence in your life will attract so many good qualities like doing well to others.
Unlike many who support monk hood and other rigours of spiritual life, Krishna emphasises that by offering all fruits of action to me, you will perform the highest yoga.
Krishna can never be explained in words but he can be realised with love and unconditional love.
Unconditional love means you do not impose do or do not on him. When you are willing to accept every activity of life as a divine act, you will receive trillions of blessings.
We hardly know about things beyond our hands. We are not god but pretend to be a superhuman being without performing our duties as a human.
When we perform our duties with sincerity and start loving others with concern, our creator will love us too.
Leave aside your ego of knowing all and doing all but accept everything with love and concern. However, do not forget your duty.
