Pinoy Guide to Communication Theories

Book Summary   by:disambiguation     Original Author: MaryAnne E. Encarnado
ª

Filipino students do not approach the subject Communication Theories with much excitement as they do say, Introduction to TV Production or Broadcasting. They open Stephen W. Littlejohn''s "Theories of Human Communication" and Chapter 1 gives them a headache. I offer Em Griffin because he has cutesy comic book illustrations and uses anecdotal and stories to explain communication theories and still they are lost in a sea of ambiguous, hifalutin English words.

After 6 years of teaching, I decided to write a book for Filipino students so they could understand the subject better using Filipino examples, illustrations, anecdotes and yes, my students Eureka word, "paradigm".
