It's good to read some interesting news on the Istanbul Modern Art Show from the New York Times via the Turkish Digest and I was intrigued to discover the nature of this presentation of modern art in Istanbul Turkey. According to the blog from the New York Times is is to be "20 modern Turkish artists of the 20th century" showing June 19 a collection of modern art and collection refers to the collection of Oner Kocabeyoglu .......... this collection is arranged in colloboration with the writer and art critic Ferit Edgu. The Pieces are from the Paris School and refers to Turkish Abstract Painters .... under the
heading of ...... "Geometry, Light, Music, Walls". The Turkish artists have a Western perspective which adds to the flavour of it all. Mr Edgu is passionate about artists, and includes a passion also for the work of Picasso and Dali.. I have been to many Art exhibitions and recently my Turkish friend emailed some street artists from Istanbul which was an attention grabber from the Western Perspective and my co writer also blogged some images of art in education with those involved I assume in the creation of Modern Art in Istanbul in Turkey at present. I must admit though in concert with this writer and critic referred to herein I have visited Paris Art a long time ago and also Vienna Art Museums and latterly a Museum of Art in Aarhus Denmark adding to a lasting appreciation of Art in Europe. Thanks New York Times via Turkish Digest for this interesting article on Modern Turksih Artists Exhibition in Istanbul June 19 .. it would be wonderful to see it!
