doctrine. Know your doctrine mate. You see, there are two streams of thought in evangelical Christianity. One school thinks you can go to heaven, by being born-again and walking the straight and narrow path , but ohmigod you can loose your
salvation if you backslide too much. This is also the dominant school of thought, in churches today. Why ? Partly because people can then be bullied into doing strange things, and you are handed the pride of knowing you earned your ticket to heaven. Now there is also another school of thought mate. Basically, they believe, and they can quote scripture, that salvation is the work of God alone. You had nothing to do with your salvation mate. God saved you, and that’s it. It is irreversible. And I’ll tell you another thing mate. This was the central theological idea of the reformation. You don’t have to do anything to go to heaven once your saved. Luther taught it, Calvin wrote on it, and Zwingli fought for it. Read this book and be inspired.
