The parable of the talents
A man who was to travel called his servants and gave them their property. Decided to give each one second their capacity: hence, gave them a five talents, the other has two, and the other servant, only one.
What had received five talents was soon negotiate with that money and gained five others. The same thing that made the servant had received two talents, thereby gaining two others. But it received only one talent cavou a hole in the ground there and hid the money that had been entrusted.
After a long time, you have those servants returned and called for accountability.
He is what we received five talents and handed him another five, saying: "Lord, confiaste me five talents, here are five others who won."
"Well, good and faithful server," he replied to him. "Foste faithful in little, then I will give you power over many things. Shares of the joy of your Lord."
What had received two talents and also approached and said:
"Lord, I entregaste two talents. Here are two others who won."
"Well, good and faithful server," he replied to him. "Foste faithful in little, then I will give you power over many things. Shares of the joy of your Lord."
Now, finally, which received only one talent, and said:
"Lord, I know you''re awful man, who ceifas where no semeaste and colhes where nothing was planted. So I fear I was hiding in the earth and the talent that I confiaste. Here you, intact. Devolvo which you belong."
The man was outraged and demanded: "Servant bad and lazy! Wise If that ceifo where no semeei and colho where no espalhei, devias have applied my money for that in my return, I received with interest which I belong."
And turning to the employees who were with him at that time, ordered:
"Take the talent that is with him, to be given to what has ten. For those who have will be in abundance, while those who do not have, even the little that has to be drawn. What about this useless servant, - launch in the darkness, where there crying and grinding of teeth. "
For a good understanding of that history, we must see clearly the meaning of the word talent. Talent is a quality that has been paid to desempenharmos some type of activity. Initially we must know whether you received any talent. Certainly, yes. Perhaps because it has not yet made not seek the execution of any work where their talents are needed.
