Help for new programmers

Website Review by: LFrost

If you are all new to web design using program languages like java and html the following website can be very useful for
a beginner www.webmonkey.com. This site will give you good examples of code, stylesheets and usage of characters. There is also helpful information for the advanced programmer or master. Sometimes one just forget that specific color code or how to create a certain effect on your website and instead of spending time to find the solution or resources this website can be a quick reference for the right answer at the right time. Web sites like this allow programmers to be more productive by saving large amounts of time during development. A search engine connected to lycos will allow the programmer to search for more information should the programming information required not be found on webmonkey.com. There is a full javascript library available as well as HTML cheatsheets. The sample codes are provided for free and programmers can use the code or if they wish modify the sample code to suit there own environment. The stylesheet guide will show the programmer how to use cascade stylesheet, link more than one stylesheet and set properties of stylesheets. Available is some charts that will assist the programmer with which feature are supported by what browsers; this is very handy as it is very difficult to figure this out on your own and is only detected by trail and error. These charts save a lot of time as it is listed for the programmer which can then work accordingly. This site is highly recommended as a starting tool for new programmers and off cause for the experienced programmer a quick guide or reference to solve either a problem or code long forgotten. There is also included on webmonkey domain registries. This provides the programmer with other websites where they can check whether websites have been registered and also where they can register their new domain if not taken. The Glossary available will support the programmer when looking for specific technology or terminology in programming, very useful and programmer friendly.
