MusicExpress en Esperanto

Website Review by: NissaAnnakindt

This site provides free mp3 downloads of 198 songs in the international language Esperanto. Esperanto is an artificial language
created over one hundred years ago which has some 4 million speakers, and is easy to learn. But that's really not what's important. What's important is the music. It comes from musicians around the world, and is in every imaginable music style. Most of what I've downloaded was very good music. The web page is in Esperanto, but don't let it bother you. Click on a song title in blue. This will take you to a page describing the music group in Esperanto. Scroll down the page and you will find song titles, and beneath them it will say "MP3" with a little lightning graphic. Click on that to download. If you're at a loss to decide which to download first, I recommend anything by the group Oraj Kantoj. Once you've enjoyed the Esperanto music on the site, you can branch out into the many other styles of music offered, mostly from Brazilian groups. I've downloaded a wonderful song under the Catholic music section (katolika, in Esperanto). I could go on and on about the wonders of this free music site, but I've just run across a song by the Japanese pop rock group La Mevo that I just have to download, right now.
