We all know children need the right to express themselves. And we all know there are people out there on the web looking
for just good conversation with another person they don't have to see face to face. It is reasonable to expect some
parents treat their children as adults. And it is just as rational to accept many parents consider their offspring too much a grownup too soon.
The majority of the people signing up on MySpace.com are single, young, and far too often underage. For the last category the parents only find out too late. Freedom of speech is one thing.
Sharing some
information is good. How else does one know they want to chat with them? For a mature single woman or couple or man seeking company life is good. Not so for young girls and lads looking for a good time. Here is where those not so good people rise out of the slime.
These perverts are always on the hunt for foolish young females willing to divulge any and all information over the most widely read arena. These so called social chatters work on the need for attention by many misunderstood teens looking for a fun time in the wrong place, My Space.com.
Are parents the blame when their precious little girl or boy meets up with the wrong kind of person? Is just this website at fault for the actions of a few? Granted those using any site on the internet go on their own behalf. No one coerces them to visit the site. No one compels them to reveal too much information on this web page. The more public awareness of the tragic endings from such folly may result in less of them.
Not all those on MySpace.com are bad persons. Not all are seeking young people to hook up with. The site owners should take some responsiblilty and be more conscious of what goes on the site. Maybe the bottom line is too low for them. As to the mature adults calling on others on MySpace.com good luck and have a happy life. For the young users of the web page, try a little more common sense.
