It's said of Keys, also a classically trained musician, that she could be this generation's Roberta Flack. However, Alicia Keys should be considered her self , as Roberta Flack came in her generation as her self, intriguing a musical scene dominated by a very different musical sound. That is what is meant by originality. However, such a comparison with another generation's great is nevertheless very good for a new young musical star of a new young generation.
Who are the quality stars of this new generation? Alicia Keys appears to be among them with her innovative combination of the new and the classical, including new-style R'n'B and old-style R'n'B.
